Purple Pennies is a charitable giving scheme that is open to all staff at The University of Manchester. It’s a fantastic opportunity to donate a few pennies each month to good causes that you care about. And if we all join in, together we can make a big difference. Purple Pennies allows you to make a collective impact with colleagues across the University by donating the pennies from your salary towards local charitable causes. Your salary will be rounded down to the nearest pound, meaning you will never donate more than 99p a month. If your net pay is £1,200.33 you’d donate the 33p and keep the £1,200. Every single penny will help.
