FORMERLY KNOWN AS PENNIES FROM HEAVEN
The Microhive Awards are an opportunity for organisations to share their charitable successes and demonstrate commitment to charitable giving. Based on participation rates, our winners receive a Microhive Social Purpose Quality Mark, an endorsement that can be used to support ESG reporting.
Despite tough economic challenges it was fantastic to see that Microhive continued to grow in popularity in 2024 as an affordable way for everyone to support charities. The Awards provide a way to thank staff and pensioners, and remind them the difference they have made. Employers must have at least 10% of employees signed up to the scheme to win an Award and our Platinum Award is reserved for those with over 40% of staff joining in – the highest Award in the fundraising sector!
2024 was a record year for the Microhive Awards, with more Platinum winners than ever before and even our first organisation to achieve 100% participation rate! This comes after yet another year of challenging economic conditions, and yet many more organisations are looking to join Microhive each month, proving that while we may be facing difficult times as a society, we still consider charities and charitable giving high on our list of priorities. We hope that the Awards enable employers to celebrate their success and thank their employees who have been donating their payslip pennies. We also know that there is a growing importance for organisations to demonstrate social purpose, to show they are acting in a manner benefiting society alongside the bottom line.
In 2023 we launched the Microhive Quality Mark (formerly known as Pennies from Heaven) and shared it with our winners. This mark demonstrates an organisations dedication to support society and add value to the charities and communities they care about. Working with Microhive also generates a much wider impact than the donations the charities receive. We are a Social Enterprise that wants everyone to be part of micro giving, so as employers join the Microhive family, all working together for the betterment of society, the deeper the social impact we have together. Only our Award winners can use this mark on their websites, ESG reports and other stakeholder communications.
